Planning a trip to Canada/Alaska

If there is anyone out there who wants to help us plan a trip to Canada and Alaska next year, feel free to let me know. I have managed to find a flight that suits us. Fly from Brisbane to Nadi, Fiji with a two hour stop over and then Nadi to Honolulu, Hawaii and another two hour stop over before leaving for Vancouver, Canada. It beats approximately eighteen hours in one flight. We want to see things ourselves without the help of the tour guides too. They put you up in the expensive hotels where you get looked after and have your meals cooked for you. I can get all that here. We want the log cabins, the motor home etc.
